Day 1

Ujjain: Mahakal darshan

  • Arrive and check in — most guests from Maharashtra and Gujarat drive in or take an overnight train to Ujjain.
  • Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga — plan for queues on weekends and festivals. Bhasma Aarti needs advance booking on the temple’s official site.
  • Kal Bhairav & Harsiddhi temples — both a short ride away.
  • Evening at Ram Ghat — aarti on the Shipra river.

Day 2

Omkareshwar darshan, then on to Maheshwar

  • Leave Ujjain by 6:30 AM — about 140 km and 3–3.5 hours to Omkareshwar, so you reach before the midday rush.
  • Omkareshwar & Mamleshwar — darshan at both; allow 3–4 hours including the bridge walk.
  • Lunch, then drive 65–75 km to Maheshwar — about 1.5–2 hours. We can send a cab to pick you up at Omkareshwar.
  • Evening Narmada Aarti at Ahilya Ghat — then check in at Hotel Shivalay Palace, a 10-minute walk from the fort.

Explore Maheshwar, then head home
